Common Problems

• Why does the log file for ListProc say "*** Possible fake mail... "? What does this mean?
• My ListProc logs show a regerror() error. What is causing this?
• I have been unable to connect to the server via 'ilp'. What could be the problem?
• A common message footer contains a keyword for ListProc, so I always get error messages, how can I stop this?

You may find ListProc's certificate of compliance for y2k at: http://www.listproc.net /y2k.html

People who archive with the %y (yr) can switch whenever they like to %Y (year). This became effective circa ListProc version 8.1. Since archive file names are not critical in most cases, this is not of great importance.

FTP site: ftp://cren.net/archives/
Gopher site: gopher://list.cren.net:70/11/archives

Since the gopherd protocol handles UNIX Mailboxes in a unique fashion, the gopher archives are easier to use for viewing an individual message than the FTP site.
